The Ultimate Instant Pot Gift Guide

Owning an Instant Pot has made it so much easier to serve healthy meals to my family. This is especially true on the days that we are on the go and don’t have hours to prep dinner. The Instant Pot can replace several kitchen appliances you may have laying around including crock pot, yogurt maker, rice cooker and a steamer.

The reason I am so passionate about the Instant Pot is because it makes cooking nourishing foods at home so convenient and is such a time saver. Some of my favorites include bone broth, various soups like Potato,  Leek  and Bacon Soup, Egg Bites, cough syrup and these immune boosting elderberry gummies!

The Instant Pot craze has presented many people with the opportunity to learn how to cook meals at home that may never have been interested in doing had they not been introduced to this kitchen appliance. You may have friends and family members who already own an Instant Pot and love it! I’ve included several gift ideas to give to the Instant Pot lover in your life!

The accessories listed below all fit the 6 or 8 Qt Instant Pots. Here is a link to a list of accessories for your Mini 3 Qt Instant Pot!

How To Choose The Right Instant Pot

If you do not yet own an Instant Pot, you may be curious about the different models they offer. There are three sizes of the Instant Pot to choose from; Instant Pot Mini 3 Qt , Instant Pot 6 Qt and Instant Pot 8 Qt. There are benefits to owning each one and many people actually own all three sizes!

3 Quart:  The Instant Pot Mini 3 Qt  is best if you are cooking for one or two people. Perfect for cooking in a camper or hotel room when traveling.

6 Quart: For the average size family (3-6 people), the 6 quart Instant Pot is the one I would recommend. It is big enough to make enough food for leftovers without taking up too much space in the kitchen.

8 Quart: The Instant Pot 8 Qt is perfect for making meals for large families or if you enjoy preserving large amounts of garden produce, like this Tomato Basil Soup I make and freeze every year!

The first 12-Piece accessory set  shown includes a steamer basket, egg bite mold, springform pan, egg rack, silicone mitts and more.  The second 6 -piece set includes a steamer basket, springform pan, egg steamer rack, steamer rack, oven mitts and a dish clip.

Individual Accessories

Extra Inner Cooking Pot

Having an extra Stainless Steel Inner Cooking Pot and Ceramic Non-Stick Inner Cooking Pot make it convenient to prepare several dishes at once.  While one of the inner pots is being used, you have an extra one to trade out to minimize cooking time. Both can also be used to store leftovers in the refrigerator! Be sure to get the appropriate size to fit in your Instant Pot!

Steam Diverter

This Steam Diverter redirects hot steam to protect your cabinets from damage. It is placed on the Instant Pot steam release valve and will redirect hot steam down towards the counter rather than up towards the cabinet. Many people find this one of the most useful accessories out there!

Purchasing a glass lid or a silicone lid is helpful when using the slow cooker and saute functions. It allows you to see in the pot without taking the lid off.  It can be used in the oven up to 428 degrees and is also dishwasher safe. This pairs well with extra inner cooking pot to store leftovers in the refrigerator.

Sealing Rings

Purchasing replacement sealing rings are a must! I use one sealing ring when cooking bone broth, and other strong smelling dishes, and the other ring when making sweet things such as cheesecake and yogurt. The sealing rings tend to absorb the scent of what is being cooked, so it is good to have a few extra on hand.

Pot in Pot Cooking

These Stackable Steamer Insert Pans allow multiple foods to be cooked at the same time. This is called the pot-in-pot (PIP) method of cooking. This basically means you are taking another dish and placing it in the Instant Pot to cook your food. Cooking with this method reduces the time it takes to prepare a meal and makes for easy clean up. It also works well when heating up leftovers. The Steamer Basket and Cheesecake Pan shown below are other ways to utilize the pot-in-pot cooking method to steam vegetables and make delicious desserts.

Silicone Mold for Egg Bites

One of the easiest things you can make in the Instant Pot are egg bites. They are delicious and made with a few simple ingredients. You can find my favorite egg bite recipe here! Mitts are perfect when removing the hot inner pot or other accessories used with Instant Pot.

Yogurt-Making Cups

Making your own yogurt from scratch in the Instant Pot is very cost effective! Organic store bought yogurt can cost up to $5.00 per 32 oz container. For the cost of one gallon of organic milk(averages $7.00/gallon), you can make  approximately 128 oz of yogurt in the Instant Pot. So, 128 oz of store bought yogurt would cost upwards of $20, but instead you can make it at home for $7! This is a substantial savings! These Yogurt Maker Cups make storage so easy.

There are thousands of Instant Pot recipes all over the internet. I love that information is so easily accessible nowadays! Becca, Thanks for the info. I don’t own an instant pat at this time. Have been considering getting one, so the information was helpful. I’m the kind of girl that keeps a list all year of possible wants, and then treat myself on Black Friday. So this is officially on the list. Thanks

Great information!! I love my Instant Pot and use it a few times a week. I have some of these things like an extra inner pot, lid, cheesecake pan, and steamer basket and I use them all of the time! I just got the egg bite molds, but I haven’t tried them yet. What I had NO idea about, is the steam diverter! Yay! I am going to order one right now!!!
    Thank you!

I don’t have an Instant Pot yet but I”m leaning towards seeking one out on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Great information in here to help me make my decision and pick the right one. Not sure I’m ready to say goodbye to my crock pot though, :).
